entry meta images in posts> main page edit

Hi all,

Need help with editing the entry-meta bar under the posts on main page:

-How can I remove color in the bar?
-How can I remove the date of the post in the same bar?

-Also the images visible inside the post are not visible on main page. I have tried much, including attributing feature images, but nothing seems to work.

Help would be appreciated.
