I’ve searched for posts on this topic, but I didn’t find one. This is not a “how to fix” problem, but a general inquiry on design theory and preferences.

I’m developing a site for which I want five areas that are separate from each other, but unified. My first idea was to install WP in five different directories:
    BuffaloBikes.com/memorial/
    BuffaloBikes.com/winter/
    BuffaloBikes.com/spring/
    BuffaloBikes.com/summer/
    BuffaloBikes.com/fall/

In this scenario, each section of the site would have a prominent link to each of the other areas, and each of the five areas uses the same theme, but with five different color schemes.

Now that I’m working on it a bit more, I’m wondering if I should use categories to define the color scheme.

    What do you think?
