Organising PDF documents for downloading.

    Hi, first of all I’m totally new to WordPress but have worked with other CMS, and am comfortable working with html/css/javascript/jquery/php…

    I have been asked to come up with a way of storing a number of PDF documents for downloading within a wordpress site, each document might need to have descriptions, thumbnail and a few different categories types, say location and field of interested.

    Then our users will come into the site and select a few categories from a drop down and be presented with the relevant documents.

    Can anybody give me any pointers or suggest any plugins that will do this?
    Im really hoping to use this side project to head around worldpress.
