Need help

Hi
I spend one complete day trying to understand how can I implement a registration processus which feet my needs.
My question, there is a document (or some documents) somewhere where I can understand the wordpress registration process, the buddypress features, and an overvieu of what we can do mixing buddy press and wordpress.
