Limit – Number of testimonials to pull at a time

Limit the number of testimonials to rotate through via widget or show at a time when listing.

Thanks Michael, one follow-up on this. Is there some kind of advantage to limiting the number of quotes? Performance, memory, etc?

Most folks aren’t on a page long enough to cycle through more 10 much less the default 25 quotes.

Performance wise, the fewer quotes, the better regarding not weighing down the page with extra content or processing the additional. However, if you have caching and other performance optimizations in place, the slow down can be mitigated.

For those that have have donated to me in regards to Testimonials Widget, I’m now sending them the premium version. Testimonials Widget Premium only provides caching at this point, but I’m getting started on the various TODOs that aren’t low effort and sticking them in here than the free version.

Ahhh, got it! I just looked at the page source from my home page and discovered that all the quotes are embedded there when I set the limit higher than my total number of quotes. Thanks again!
