How do I change post IDs?

  • I’m trying to change my post IDs, as I was messing with the post page feature before I ever started posting my posts and for some reason my posts have started counting up from 3 instead of 1, a few other written and deleted pages have also created some gaps in the post ID count that I would like to get rid of so everything is nice and sequential.\

    It seems that even if you delete a post, it keeps counting up from the number after the post you deleted.

  • Is there a particular reason you need the IDs to be sequential? By having unique IDs, you make sure that nothing wierd happens where a new entry is joined to a deleted entry’s info.
