paypal button not working correctly

I am trying to add paypal ‘add to cart’ buttons on my website, but I’m running across something strange. I created the button, pasted the code into the HTML of the page where I wanted it, but the button showed up with a bit of a gap below where I wanted it (the space of two lines of text). When I went back to the ‘visual’ tab, I could see the button, and I moved it up to where I wanted (by deleting the two lines of empty space). The problem is that the button worked fine *before* I moved it, but every time I try shifting it up to be where I want it on the page, when I click on the button it links to the paypal main page, and doesn’t add anything to the cart.

How else can I move the button to be where I want it/eliminate the ugly gap, without screwing up the shopping cart?
