Change color of navigation bar using HTML?

    I am using a WordPress layout called “Shell”. The layout has a navigation bar across the top with a gray color. I do not want this color, does anyone have any information on how to change the color using HTML? All I need is where could I locate the code in the script ? If I can find the code then I can change the color because I am pretty knowledgable with HTML. Again all I need help with is locating the actual code in the script that pertains to the navigation bar. Thanks!!!

    Do you have a Child Theme or a Custom CSS type plugin?

    I really don’t understand entirely what you mean ? I believe it’s a custom CSS? I don’t know. all I know is that I can edit the layout with HTML in my control panel on WordPress.

    Appearance is controlled by the CSS, not HTML. If you post a link to your site, someone may be able to give you more specific help.
