Slider doesnt work in explorer 8-9

Hi there,
The slider works perfect in firefox and chrome but doesnt show up in MS explorer 8 or 9.
When i choose compatibility mode (in ie8) for older websites the slider shows up.I use the single slider option thru a shortcode on a page.
