I want the old post editor back! (a minor problem, really)

  • I don’t like the new, heavy-duty-javascriptified post editor. It slows down my computer, and is just all around annoying. Is there any way I can have the post editor from the old WP yet still be running WP 2.0?

  • You can remove the Rich Text Editor (User screen, scroll down) but that’s all.

    I second the request. So much cruft. We need a much easier way than hacking for these pages to be modifiable. A way to edit what shows up on this page would be WAY useful. Denis de Bernardy’s Admin Simplified worked well for WP 1.5, but now… it’s frustrating.

    I have a solution. Buy a Mac and Use Safari ??

    When I log in on my Mac at home I can’t see any of the fancy stuff. I don’t really use it anyway but it’s good for the bods that don’t know much html n stuff.

    I agree that there should be a simple way to disable all the fancy crap.
