Migration is successful, but after I click Modify Internal Links I get this message:

    [fgj2wp] 0 internal links modified

And redirections from the old URLs to the new ones don’t work.

(This is the premium version, and we tried to migrate either from our Mambo 4.5.2 database or from a Joomla 2.5.7 demo site we created just to check this).

    Please help.

    Thanks!

In the URL field, did you put the URL of your Joomla home page with https:// (e.g. https://www.mydomain.com) ?

OK, I tried again with https:// and with www or without www – all failed…

Can you give me an example of a Joomla URL which doesn’t work?

There was a bug in the URL rewriting module. It has been fixed in version 1.7.1 Premium.

Moreover, you have to choose a permalink different from the default one in the WordPress permalinks settings.

    Hi Frederic/Kerfred,

I am encountering the same issue as the OP of this thread: the migration is successful, but after I click Modify Internal Links I get the “[fgj2wp] 0 internal links modified” message.

You stated that there was a bug in the URL rewriting module which has now been fixed in the premium version. Are you also planning to fix this bug in the “normal” version?

Your plugin is already saving me a lit of hassle. Thank you and all the best for 2013.

    Hi,
This bug concerned only the Premium version and has been fixed in version 1.7.1.
I have not seen this bug in the standard version.
Are you sure you have internal links? Internal links are hyperlinks between articles in the body of the articles.

Best wishes to you as well.

    Hi Kerfred,

Thanks for responding so quickly. After the migration from my joomla site to new test-domain (different URL), all in-page internal links show the old Joomla structure. For example:

    old joomla structure: https://www.oldjoomlasite.com/?option=com_content&view=article&id=136&Itemid=473

    gets converted into:

    https://www.temp.domain.com/?option=com_content&view=article&id=136&Itemid=473

In the new wordpress site, I use the URL structure root//%postname%/, a similar structure as I used on my joomla site

    *small edit, missed your hyperlink-question*

and yes, they are internal links linking internally between articles

In the plugin settings, did you put “https://” at the beginning?
In your example, the URL field should be https://www.oldjoomlasite.com

Yes, I have read and followed all instructions as I could find on your website. I will later today retry on a fresh wordpress install without any plugins activated, but I don’t expect a difference since those are the same parameters as I have used “now”.

Would it help if I send you more details in a private email?

Yes, you can write to my email: [email protected]

There was a bug. The internal links were not modified if the checkbox “Import as pages” was checked.
It has been fixed in version 1.9.1 (Free and Premium versions).
