ok, so I’ve finally found the time to read the article. And I really like the idea, so thanks for sharing this.

Implementing this in WP-Table Reloaded will not be easy, but I can imagine a solution via a plugin Extension or some extra Shortcode parameters. I will put this on my feature ideas list and investigate a solution in the future.

Now, unfortunately, I can foresee some problems with the parallel usage of the features like sorting, search, pagination and so on, so very likely, you can not have responsive tables that still have these features. This might however be possible by using the DataTables JS API for this, so let’s see…

Just wanted to say I was looking for that functionality too. Would make the plugin even better, since I think it’s a definitely necessary function when using it on a frontpage of a responsive WP theme (which I am, you guessed right).

thanks for your feedback! I’m a step further now, about the mentioned integration with DataTables: There seems to be a good Extension at https://datatables.net/extras/colvis/ which would just need the specific parts about the responsiveness.

I’m working on a responsive site as well, at https://www.surreycares.org. The theme is responsive, but the plugin that is blocking the site, as exemplified by the header, from responding nicely is, well, it’s WP-Table Reloaded. ??

I’m really keen to see what you suggest. I tried what you suggested in another, similar, thread today, but it didn’t make any difference (so I undid it all…).

For regular data tables, there’s a useful TablePress Extension that can be used to make such tables responsive: https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/
