How to redirect entire directory to homepage

  • Hi, I have a WordPress site and in a subfolder I have installed phpbb forum. I am planning to uninstall and delete the forums but the thing is that if I delete forums the search engines will give me 404 errors until the next year… so I’m trying to find a way where “all pages” of the forum will redirect to my site homepage. I search for this more than 3 weeks without success, any ideas would be highly appreciate it, thanks in advance!

  • This isn’t really a WordPress issue but I suggest that you try googling on “.htaccess 301 redirect”

    Thanks for reply esmi, I already did that but I do not find anything and that’s why I thought maybe someone know something about this, thanks anyway!
