No Admin Access After Upgrade

  • I’ve just upgraded to 2.0. I did everything per instructions, and reactivated the plugins that I had deactivated prior to upgrade. I now have no access to Admin CP. I get the login page, but only a blank page after entering my login details.

    Does anyone have a remedy for accessing Admin CP?

  • Did you upload over the old files or delete the old ones first ?
    Sounds like a file did not get uploaded correctly – check all the files are there and do not have a filesize of zero. Using your ftp program is the best way to do this

    I user CuteFTPPro version 7. I’ve uploaded and upgraded on 3 separate occasions now. I’ve done this exactly as stated in the upgrade instructions.

    All files are there, and all files are larger than 0 kb.

    Nothing works to get me back into Admin after my first time in after upgrade. I get the login page, but only a blank white page once login is accepted. The page source has no code to indicate there is anything at all there.

    My blog page is fine, as can be seen at https://www.rwcotton.com.

    No logins I have will gain access to Admin.

    Finally I am back into my Admin CP. To get there, I opened my plugins directory in CuteFTP and deleted ALL plugins. It will mean a reinstall, but it is worth it to not lose everything I’ve done so far.

    Just thought you would like to know…the plugin that caused this was the weighted-categories plugin.
