I want to block/dezactivate the Date and the Autor of a post on WordPress.

    Hello support team. I have a problem with the posts. I want to block the Date and the Author that is showed on Google. I did 2 print screens to show you what the problem is.

    FIRST PRINT SCREEN HERE.

    SECOND PRINT SCREEN HERE.

    I want my content of the post to be displayed directly on Google, without the Date and the Author. Can I block that?

    I hope that I was explaining correctly, because I am not english.

    You could hide the author and date using CSS, which shouldn’t affect search engines.

    Does your theme have a section regarding input of CSS named similarly to, “Custom CSS”, or have you a Child Theme?

    You can depending what theme you using and how is your index.php coded.
    If you can paste your index.php and single.php files in https://wordpress.pastebin.com and paste urls here so we can look at code.

    @andrew if display none in css the code will still be there for search engines.

    Thank you for supporting me. This is how my WordPress theme looks: here. I don’t know exactly what to do.

    If you look on right there a index.php file and single.php file when you click one at time you will the code we need to see that code and only way is if you right click and select all then copy and paste in pstebin the url in my post.

    keep a back up of both files and try and delete code from line 99 t0 118 and see if it deletes the icons and author data

    I did but it is not working. Thank you for your support. I was wondering if I can set the robots.txt. It is all right?
