2 WP installs conflicting?

  • I’ve got WP installed twice on my site, one is causing problems.

    If you click on any of the archives here:
    https://www.rinf.com/columnists/news/

    You’ll notice that it’s going to content located on a seperate WP install here https://rinf.com/alt-news

    Also, if you click on the article on /columnists/news/ they will either go to content on the other install, or display nothing but a page using the /alt-news theme.

    Confused!?!

  • I’m having a similar issue. Two installs on one machine. Now I am thinking my current problems are caused by this possibly.

    Also wanting a response.

    I should also add, both installs are using separate databases.

    The best and easiest way to resolve this is to not have one wordpress installed in a subfolder of another installation.

    See, it was working without any problems for a few years.. then after an upgrade it stopped.
