Concurrent Connections

Hi all

I’m at a loose end here. My site goes up and down in response time between 1-2 seconds to 30+ and even timing out.

My site here thepainbarrier.co.uk is hosted on Godaddy.

I’ve called godaddy a couple of times and both times they have said there has been some ‘maintenance’ going on at their end and to wait a couple of hours.

The last time I called the GD agent said that my site has concurrent connections of 200+. This is unexpected I would imagine 10-20 at one time and max 100 per hour.

The GD agent said that it may be a problem with my sites scripting and ‘the connections are not dropping off as people leave’.

I have not altered my theme so can’t believe this to be true, but also I can’t find much on the web. Does anyone have any insight into this potential problem at ‘my end’ and what might be causing the issue?

PS. I’ve done the usual deactivate plugins, reactive one at a time and can’t pinpoint any conflict.
