I’ve had trouble all day trying to login to my site. I use the correct password etc’ at wp.login.php but it redirects me to wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fphoto-restore.me.uk%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

I tried registering under another name and when I go back to login it does the same thing. Can anyone advise next move because I’ve spent several hours on this.

    Extra info’.
    Putting wrong password works correctly.
I’ve done ‘everything’ regarding changing passwords but I think this redirect is the issue.
    Plugins folder renamed.
Cant remember recent updates, but the plugins are disabled anyway as in above.

Sorry this is my WP site photo restore

    Putting wrong password works correctly.

Weird! Can you login using a wrong password?

Lol, no sorry, my bad grammar.
I meant if you try bad password it does the jiggle thing and does not redirect.

That’s the address I normaly see at first. Just tried again and it still sends me to the redirect.
Krishna, try registering then go to login and you will see what I mean.

I’ve done all that mate thanks. I don’t think this has anything to do with passwords. It’s the redirect that’s at issue here but I don’t know what caused it or how to get passed it.

I think now you have to go through the routine troubleshooting steps as below:
    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress

I deleted all themes except Esplanade a long time ago. I downloaded 2011 and put it into the themes folder, but it does not activate when I rename Esplanade. I just get a blank page.

Did you follow all the steps above?

Can I see your site with all the plugins deactivated and with the Twenty Eleven theme (no matter even if it is blank)?

About 2011 theme. I assumed all you do is unzip, drop into themes folder and rename the other theme.
I will rename plugin folder and my theme for a short time (I’ve posted on “theme my login” so awaiting a response from there too).

Done but I haven’t renamed Localization as I don’t know what that is.

    OK, you may revert back.

Try the last step I suggested. If that also fails, you may have to reinstall WordPress and restore your site. Backup everything beforehand.

If, or rather when, I solve it I’ll post up here. Thx for your time Krishna.

Please do post the results. I am very much interested to know the outcome, as are other WordPress users who may face similar problems. Wish you Good Luck!
