Random // After Header Image
-
Hi all,
I’m an EXTREMELY NEW wordpress user, and I’ve run into a weird problem. I put a header image on my site and told it to hide the title text. It worked, except now there is white space between my header and the menu, with two weird forward slashes. I don’t know how to get rid of them. Help?
The (unfinished) site is: https://nickstiner.co.nf
Using the Twenty Eleven theme.Thanks!

You’ve probably added this when hiding the text title, look for these forward slashes in your header.php file and remove them.
I suspect you might have a couple of errant slashes positioned somewhere between lines 125 – 128 in header.php. If not there, look and see if there is anything below line 14 in searchhform.php
Thanks for the fast responses! It doesn’t look to me like there are extra // at the end of my php files, but I’m also not so great at this. I’m going to try to stick my header code in here, just copied and pasted out of the header.php file.

I checked the search form php too, by the way. And I hid the title just by checking the handy little “show title text” box in appearance–>header.
I think these are probably the slashes you need to remove.
<?php get_search_form(); ?>//
OH MY GOD, you did it. All is well in the world. Thank you SO much.
You’re welcome. Glad we could help!
