Secret Keys / error eastbalishing a database connection.

  • I am using wamp server and constructing a wp site offline, that is without a domain etc.

    I found out about changing the keys inn wp.config.php to secret keys.

    What I’ve done is changed the keys in wp-config-sample.php to the secret keys generated by wp.

    Now I can’t seem to access my site: error establishing a database connection.

    Can I undo the change? Is there some other solution?

  • wp-config-sample does nothing

    It must be renamed to wp-config.php to be utilized. Have you done such?

    Yes. I saved it as wp-config.php

    More info, I can’t access front or backend.

    If your DB isn’t connecting properly, your site certainly won’t load

    You put those keys into wp-config.php

    Did you also include all of the database connection details? Have you absolutely triple checked each of those details?

    DB name, server, login, password?
