Please Help Solving This FTP problem

  • Hi
    I have integrated headway theme with WordPress. The domain is hosted in a different web server. So while I am trying to install any new plug-in, it is asking FTP Username and FTP Password which I do not know.If I enter the admin password it is showing error.So kindly help me how to solve this problem and how to get this FTP credentials.
    Any suggestion highly appreciated.

  • The only way that you can get your FTP credentials is by going to your host. Depending on who it is, it may be that you have one username and password for everything (accessing MySQL, FTP, domain management, etc.), but some of the more advanced ones require you to set up accounts for the various different functionalities.

    Thank you very much for your reply. One thing here I want mention you that this FTP credentials are set by previous admin of the website and now I unable to reach him because of some personal reasons. So is there any possibility that we can find FTP credentials inside the code of any particular module without asking to web host. Because what I believe it should be mentioned in any module.
