  • I have set up my plugin to post to Twitter and the test post is working fine. I have two doubts and need help:

    1. In the settings there is an option “Scheduled” which you have recommended instead of “Publish immediately”. I have selected that, but could you please explain where we have to set the schedule for the newly published post-info to go to Twitter?

    2. Is this plugin going to work only with new posts that I create hereafter? What about the posts that I have already created in my blog? I have about ten of them. Is there any way that the plugin will post those to Twitter?

    1. There is not option to schedule. It works like this:

    Plugin can start auto-posting immediately when you hit the “Publish” button. In that case you will need to wait till it finishes. Some APIs are slow and if you have 10 accounts configured, it could take quite some time.

    We made another option “Schedule”, that releases the “Publish” button immediately and generates a query for your wp-cron scheduler, so all auto-posting will be done at the background.

    2. Click “Edit” on any of your old posts and scroll down to the Auto-Poster custom box. You will see “Repost” buttons.

    When I first installed NextScripts just a few weeks ago, I was able to “publish” my older WordPress posts to Tumblr, keeping the original post date as the Tumblr post date as well. Today I realized that, when I look at the NextScripts options at the bottom of the older posts, that checkbox is now grayed out and I can only click “Repost,” which posts it on Tumblr with the current date, as though I was just publishing it today.

    Is there somewhere that I can change that in the plugin settings? Or can you put that ability back in? I really needed that (and Tumblrize used to do it) so that I can finish “syncing” my newer Tumblr blog to my pre-existing WP blog.
