    Hello!

My client just had an interesting request: besides the list view and calendar view, can we integrate in a Map view to view all events on a map?

Basically the project we will be developing will be setting up multipleart events around a major city in the US, and we’d like to be able to display the all of the different events on a map, and be able to click on the locations to view more info (like any google map point being clickable).

Has anyone ever done this, seen this done, or developed a plugin to do this? I can see the integration for the google map for a single event, I’m curious about dumping a list of the event data on a single map page and plotting all the points on a single map.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there wlanni. Thanks for the note here, and for your request. This is definitely a solid idea and one that we’ve had a lot of demand for. We’re working on building something along these lines now…no guarantees when it’ll be released (that will largely depend on the specific route we take and the feedback that comes through during the beta) but know this is on our radar.

In the interim, unfortunately, it’s something you’re on your own with. You may want to check out the showcase thread at the tri.be site (https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/showcase-2-0/), since a few folks have found a way to build this and it may provide some inspiration. And do know that relief is in the broader roadmap on this end as well.

Hope that helps and sorry I couldn’t offer up more. If you have other questions here please let me know.

Since it doesn’t seem like there is much more we can do in this thread, wlanni, I’m going to go ahead and mark it RESOLVED. Please let us know if we can do anything else of value in the future.
