• Just updated WordPress SEO to 1.2.8.4 this week. Pages at my (fairly compact) website load significantly slower now: initial load took about 0.9 seconds before the update but is now up to 2.5-3.5. If I disable the plugin, loading is fast again.

According to Pingdom, most of the time is consumed by ‘waiting for server’. Could the plugin maybe be messing with some other plugins? Have you heard of this before?

    Help would be greatly appreciated!

  • hi, i have the same problem with last version

Same here, it loads every single images evertime, I guess I have uninstall this tool…

Same here, taken me a few days to figure it out but I tried deactivating the SEO plugin and sure enough, the site loaded visibly quicker. I ran a scan with P3 Plugin Performance Profiler and sure enough the SEO plugin was taking up 59% of the load time. Not good!

I really love using this plugin, but not sure I can compromise on the load time for it.

    Same problem, any help???

    The same problem.

From 0.01s before installing to 0.9 after installing..
    That’s too much.

Version i use is the latest 1.3.4.1

Wondering if their will be a fix? Just started using this plugin and my load times came to a crawl. Deactivated. Page speed back to Goodness.

Great Plugin but needs more work. Until then Deleted.

Same problem, I did a test with P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) and the SEO plugin server load was relatively the same as Buddypress: BP-37% / WSEO-32%; unfortunately the author avoids to answer negative points of his plugin (install the developer version, write in his format…)
