[Plugin: Google Analyticator] Download links not tracking

Hi Chopperdave – what makes you think it’s not working?

Is the javascript showing etc?

you should see this in your header:

	var analyticsFileTypes = ['pdf','doc','docx','xls','xlt','dot'];
	var analyticsEventTracking = 'enabled';
</script>

Along with external-tracking.min.js being called in.

it wont show for admin/logged in users if you have that set

The fact that there are no download links being tracked on the Google Analytics page.

The js is being called exactly as you showed and external-tracking.min.js is also being called.

I wasn’t logged in when I tested it.

I am having a similar issue.

Everything appears to be fine but shouldn’t all relevant href be modified with onlick parameters?

I have set up a dummy file here.

As you can see all the code appear to be correct but there is no onClick event on the download link. I assume this means the file would not be tracked by GA.

got it sorted.

I have the same issue, but for outbound links. All the appropriate javascript is in the header but I don’t get any /outgoing/ pageviews inside GA.

I turned off event tracking and at least I can see outgoing links as pageviews, but it would still be nifty to have them show up as events.
