  • It depends on your server os, php version / handler, web server.

    Most linux distros use /var/log/apache2/error.log or /var/log/nginx/error.log.
    Error log locations can also be defined in your Apache vhost or Nginx conf files.

    You will need to contact your host and ask where your server logs are stored.

    Thanks, Chris. I discovered that the GoDaddy Economy Hosting plan does not support error-log collection (https://products.secureserver.net/images/hosting/amiusingeconomyhostingerrorlogs.png). And I’m on that plan!

    Anyway, Google Webmaster Tools seems like a good-enough web service to show me broken links.

    Hope I’m not missing too much by not having error logs.
