[Plugin: My Calendar] Cannot Add events

    Hi,

    I was able to fix the issue with the ‘Update database button not showing’ and I was able to click on the button after removing the line in style.css

    I’m still not able to add events in my Calendar, still getting the same error message ‘Erreur: Désolé ! Impossible d’ajouter l’évènement dans la base de données.’ Sorry. unable to add event in the database.

    What I would liek to do at this point, is to manually remove the each database related to My Calendar. Could someone send me the list ob databases

    What version of My Calendar is installed?

    Was the latest. Upgraded to version 2 this morning. Still having the same problem. Also each time I do an upgrade it failed and I have to restart the installation over again.

    It sounds like your issue is database update related; if you want to manually remove each database table, they are as follows:

    {wp}_my_calendar
    {wp}_my_calendar_categories
    {wp}_my_calendar_locations
    {wp}_my_calendar_events

    Given that your upgrade is failing, you may find that the fourth table is missing; it’s a new table in version 2.0. “WP” is in curly braces to indicate that it is variable by installation, and your database prefix may not be the same; that’s the default.

    Hi again,

    Still having the same problem, not able to write on the database. I removed the databases and did a clean install, same issue even after I clicked on update databases. Weird?

    It sounds a lot like your MySQL user just doesn’t have permission to create or modify databases – the My Calendar method for adding tables is entirely standard to WordPress. Can you check what permissions your MySQL user has?

    Thanks for getting back,
    After I removed the databases and reinstall My Calendar, I can view all 4 databases in my SQL.

    The problem is only when I’m adding events in My Calendar. I can add Categories without any issues.

    Here is the message:
    Erreur: Désolé ! Impossible d’ajouter l’évènement dans la base de données.

    Translation In english:
    Error: Sorry! Can not add the event in the database.

    Well, that’s very strange. I have once before come across a very weird plug-in conflict which prevented users from submitting events to My Calendar — it was a plug-in which aggressively rewrote the value of one of the key parameters in My Calendar’s POST array. Maybe that’s the case – if your database is being created correctly, then it seems like it’s a different issue.

    Can you send me a support request? That would give me a list of your installed plug-ins so I could check for issues. Alternately, disable all your other plug-ins and see whether that allows you to post events; if so, then it’s definitely a plug-in conflict. You can re-enable plug-ins one at a time and test to see which one is the blocker.

    Thanks for your email, My calendar version 1.11 and up is no longer working with Sermon Browser plugin (https://www.sermonbrowser.com/).

    Can you be more specific? I just installed Sermon Browser and then went to add an event, using the latest version of My Calendar, and did not have any difficulty. Is there a specific conflict between Sermon Browser and My Calendar that you can cite?
