    Hi, I’ve just installed the plugin and tried it out. Really nice work. It’s pretty awesome that people with these kinds of skills (programming) are willing to share them with the rest of us through plugins, themes, and other assorted wizardry ??

    Anyway, here’s my question: I’d like to make downloads available by setting a minimum price and the user is free to edit it if they want to pay more to the artist. I want people to have the option of choosing their own price, and for me, I think a simple textbox (with a minimum amount specified) would be a less crowded and more visually attractive solution than setting a bunch of different price points for users. Also, according to sales figures from places like Bandcamp.com, it also results in a greater bottom line.

    Is there some feature where I can choose this, or can I add some code to one of the files? I’m not a programmer beyond simple HTML and CSS, but my copy/paste skills are top notch and I follow directions well (most of the time, given a few attempts ?? )

    At the moment, no, there is not a way to do a “user-defined” price (not exactly). It is on the todo list however.

    The closest you can get right now is by using the variable prices, which will let you create multiple price options that the buyer can then choose from. Take a look at the Digital Store theme for an example.

    I definitely second this too. I have all my open source releases available for download on my site and while having both a free download option as well as a “Buy me a coffee” option with a defined price, having users define their own price if they’d like to donate would be awesome. By the way, this is by far the best WordPress plugin I’ve ever used – kudos!
