• Hello,

Up until yesterday I have been able to access my wordpress page with no problem now when I attempt to go to the admin page, it now says page not found.

Also before I started having this issue, and I was able to log on I would attempt to make revisions on my website when I noticed it was only updating in the wordpress admin panel on my home or about page etc but not the actual website. Never had that problem before. Please advise.

Or an error msg comes up saying Warning: require_once(/home/content/25/8693525/html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/25/8693525/html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 64

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/content/25/8693525/html/wp-admin/includes/admin.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/25/8693525/html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 64

    Hi admin14,

Would reinstalling WordPress be a possibility? Or perhaps re-uploading the files that are mentioned in the error.

    Hi,
Sorry I wouldn’t begin to know how to do either..I am so not a technical person. Can you walk me through it?

sure! how did you originally install WordPress? What is the link to your website?

You would need to use an FTP program to upload the file admin.php in the wp-admin folder. Have you used an FTP program before?

Another option if you’re looking for a simple blog is to user WordPress.com, where everything is handled for you as far as hosting.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are you using www.remarpro.com for?

Actually I had someone develop my entire website..I gave them the wordpress template and they took it from there.

I dont know what FTP, so I can not say whether I have used it or not. https://www.ahsiekpr.com

I have Go daddy hosting the site for me which I have already prepaid ahead for.

Someone recommended I use wordpress and that it was easire to make changes etc, so I did. Didn’t start having problems til Friday.

I have had wordpress for about a year.

Not much I can do through a forum… It seems like a file is missing that would allow WordPress to work properly. If you’d like, I could take a deeper look but I would need access to your FTP server. If you don’t know the details of how to connect to your FTP server, I could find them by having your GoDaddy info. If you feel comfortable with that, you can e-mail me at [ email removed ] and I’ll try to help you out.

Ok..thanks! I’m getting ready to step away for a minute. When I return I will make a temporary pass word change then email you later, when I have more time to go through all that with you.

@andyiancu: Once again, it is against the forum rules to solicit work here.

@admin14: If you can’t do the work yourself, consider looking for a reputable person to fix it correctly on jobs.wordpress.net or freelancing sites such as Elance. It’s not a good idea to respond to unsolicited emails or offers from forums users offering to work for you.

@songdogtech I was offering to help, not soliciting. There was no notion of money involved…

    Hi Andy ??

I am having a similar problem with the white screen of death when I try go to my admin page. I had installed WP through my host, but have no idea what I’m doing (total WP newbie). I recently changed my theme which has caused the WSOD.

I seen you mentioned above about FTP servers. I can see that option on my hosts page, could you tell me more?

Had this issue too on one of my websites. Renaming the theme folder and adding OLD at the end solved it, and allowed me to log in to the backend. Then re-activate your theme (after re-naming the folder to normal of course).
    Hope that helps
