Request: Categories and Autoscale for Media Center

Hello,

currently the the media center (or how it is called in the englisch verion) is not very lucid in therms of working with certain types of images. For example i have a site presenting different artists and on every artist site the picture should be of the same size. I scale the picutes in Photoshop, but the customer of course wants to administrate things on his own later on. So for every type/size of image (artist, employees, …) i have to write the size / min. size / max. size in a text file, give it to the customer and tell him that he has to scale and crop that in a graphics software accordinly … and that sucks. I had this problem with nearay every site i made so far.

Also not all themes and plugins does scale the images they use in sliders or something automatically.

So why not adding categories to the media center … where one can define optional auto scaling (e.g. scale to width and crop to height) for every category which is processed at upload, if the images goes to the according category.

Whats your opinion about my idea ?
