• This is my first WP website -Twenty Eleven theme (and first post in the forum) and after installing and tweaking for almost a week I have the core look and basic functions set. All set and ready to do some final tweaks (replace dummy images, text, audio etc.) I decided to check how it functioned on IE (which I never use anymore)… then on my phone… apparently its a mess and I must have missed some crucial coding along the way. I have been using Chrome and Firefox all along, both of which appear and function the same, as designed. Or so I thought. After noticing the issues in IE I tried re-sizing the browser window in Firefox and Chrome and noticed that everything gets bunched up on top of each other. At this point I’m lost.. I have no idea what is causing all of the issues, if its one thing or several. I have searched Google, other sites and forums including this one and after many hours cannot find a solution. Because of this I’ll just go ahead and list all of the issues I have noticed as they may be related, maybe not. I would certainly hate to have to delete everything and start over as I’ve put in well over 60 hours on this so far… hopefully someone can chime in and help me out here.

The website is located here: https://www.humansdance.com

The issues I have noticed are (randomly) as follows:

    1. Haiku – minimalist audio player – activate/deactivate resizes IE header logo .png image (makes it huge/distorted when deactivated) – I did not add the Haiku plugin to the homepage, nor is it showing in the actual WP home page post I created in the dashboard, yet it is listed on the Firebug HTML as being there on the home page. -NOTE that the Haiku plug whether activated or deactivated makes no difference to the appearance of the pages in Chrome and Firefox, where everything looks perfect.

    2. There is a little image box (like an error/no photo loading) at the bottom left corner appearing when the site is opened in IE and via web phone -but not in Chrome or Firefox, which again looks perfect. I have absolutely no idea what or why its there -should only be a PayPal logo in that area.

    3. All of my website pages wont resize properlly -nav menu, text etc. bunches up on top of each other to fit inside the window rather than staying true to one size and shrinking to fit across all browsers. In IE the menu bar and titles disappears completely!

    4. All buttons on all pages are that old school ugly tan color with black text inside, rather than default plugin graphics buttons.

Oh wow, okay. Thank you for the links.

According to the validation check I have 5 Errors and 2 warning(s). Not exactly sure how to implement those fixes though. They all show “>” underlined in red, I assume its because I must have left a space in the coding changes and just need to delete the space/or replace those spaces with the “>” or completely replace the lines altogether then?

Then the link you posted says there are six broad fixes listed for IE. I’m wondering if the previous fixes will resolve IE issues or create yet more problems… hmm
