Facebook Timeline. invalid because the given value 'is_is'

The locale is case sensitive, it should be “is_IS”, not “is_is”.

Where can I find this is_is property to fix it?

It is not in the header.php file. I have no idea where this problem originates!

Look in your wp-config.php file for the line that looks like define('WPLANG')

The setting is correct in wp-config.php:

define ('WPLANG', 'is_IS');

Also I have no probelm using Icelandig in WordPress.

So I still have no idea on how to fix this bug ??

I took a look at your site with the FB Debugger, and I’m not getting any errors on the locale.

But still I get these messages when trying to post:

“Posted to Skoeun’s Facebook Timeline” (IT DOES NOT POST TO MY TIMELINE)

And:

Ok I have tried doing the following:

1) Disable all plugins except the Facebook plugin. Results: Get the same error as before.

2) Changing to the default WordPress Theme. Results: Get the same error as before.

Well, that particular URL of /testing-2/ gives a 404 error. Are you sure your URLs are good?

Note that a real URL from your site seems to work perfectly fine:

I deleted that post. Just put it there for testing purposes. I am still getting the same error.

Also I tried using the facebook plugin on another site, using another theme, hosted with another hosting company and I still get the “‘is_is’ for property…” error.

So it seems that Facebook does not support posting to Timline if you are using the Icelandic language. This is very strange and frustrating :(.

FB says they support is_IS, you can see it in their locales xml file:

Sure. And I have been using Icelandic for years. The facebook plugin seems not to support it though…
