site missing information when first starting up

    Sorry, another newbie, anyway, the site that I developed is not the same when I first enter https://127.0.0.1:4001/wordpress/ into any browser. It is only after I go to https://127.0.0.1:4001/wordpress/wp-admin and log in then view site, does the completed site appear. What appears in the first instance is an incomplete version, i.e., missing pages, links, and menu items. Does this mean if I migrate this site to a hosted site, that the incomplete site would also appear? Any ideas?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

    Thank you very much. Deactivating the plugins did the trick. I didn’t find the plugin culprit as yet, but am using the ones I need and everything is fine. BTW- I have been using the Twenty Ten Theme. Thanks again.
