creating links in posts

  • I just started using wordpress. When I write a post and create a link the post disappears unless I use the html editor. Is this the only way to make links??

    Also when I create a link it does work, but only on my mac. It shows up as regular text on my evo phone. I really need these links to work on all mobile devices. What should I do????

    My site is https://www.applicationtalk.com please keep in mind I am just getting started. I have put almost nothing on my site yet.

    This seems to be a big problem in the grand scheme of things. I have found very few people talking about this. I would appreciate some direction on this topic. Thanks.

    Ok I am adding a new layer of question to this. When I go to my blog home page and my most recent post is up top the links I have put in that post are not active, but when I click on the post and go to the post page it is active. Why is this? How do I make links active on my main page???
