• When publishing or saving a post in WordPress I receive this error:
Tumblrize could not crosspost this entry because Tumblr has rejected your username or password.

I have checked and rechecked my Tumblr login info in the settings, disabled other plugins, etc. with no luck.

Was working earlier but I think it stopped when I updated the WP version from 3.3.x to 3.4.x

    Great plugin otherwise!

I received this error just today, after having updated WP version weeks ago and after posting daily ever since, until just now. None of my posts are going through. I have signed in and out of Tumblr, signed in and out of WP, deactivated Tumblrize and reactivated it, checked email and password on both ends.

    Wonderful plugin otherwise!

Addition information about this problem. I have rebooted, deactivated and deleted the plugin, with all data, re-uploaded the plugin (1.4.2), reinstalled it, deleted caches & cookies. Still not working.

I’m using WP 3.4.1, and have been for weeks; that is not the issue, as Tumblrize has been working since I performed that upgrade.

    Anyone have any other ideas?

Argh. I have done most of what you described too, @Curiosities. Must be something on Tumblr’s end. I hope they didn’t decide to break it.

@teratoma: I’m not sure where the problem lies. I am also unable to share an image from Flickr to Tumblr…doesn’t recognize my Tumblr account. Yet I have also had fans of my Facebook page say they have been unable to share links on my Curiosities timeline. I’m also not receiving any Facebook notifications, either from my Curiosities page OR my personal page.

I keep trolling the Internet, scouting for known problems cropping up today, but haven’t seen any signs of any reported new issues, although this problem seems to have happened in the past…no one mentions any resolution, but the problems must have gotten resolved, perhaps internally to Tumblr or Flickr or Facebook, or wherever the problem is, and things just started working again. I’m hopeful that this will be the case today, too. ??

I’m actually getting this as well. I literally didn’t change anything, and this started happening out of the blue.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, but no luck. Hrm.

I am having the same issue, today all of a sudden. Worked just fine a few days ago. I cant seem to find a support page or anything.

This has just started happening to me too. It had been working perfectly with multiple posts every day until today.

I haven’t found another plugin that works as well. I hope it gets fixed but it looks like it hasn’t been updated in a couple of years. I’m *awfully* lazy and reposting to Tumblr by hand is going to be a pain.

@thecurvyj, I like the word “practical” better than “lazy,” and I agree with you, it would be awful to have to go back to hand-posting items, even for a short period of time. I post dozens of items every day and am really feeling like my hands are tied.

I don’t think the problem is with Tumblrize, I think it’s larger than that and all seems to be centered around Tumblr. As I mentioned, I am unable to share posts from Flickr to Tumblr now. I’m almost afraid to try sharing to other sites. I don’t want to see what else is failing.

I don’t know what the purpose of this forum is, if not to have people “in the know” see the problems and either advise or fix things, or refer to people who can do so. However, just in the event that no one sees these posts, I’m going to try one more thing before I seek additional places to report the problem; I’m going to run a full system scan and see what McAfee finds. Will report any findings in the morning.

At least we’re not alone, right? LOL!

    Janet.??.?

I just made a forum account because of this issue, i was hoping to sue the app today as a simple method of migrating my WordPress to tumblr, am saddened it is not working.

if this isn’t fixed, i don’t think ill be able to do it, as the ‘blogger’ method is not workign wither for some reason…

@thecurvyj if Tumblr broke it on purpose it’s very likely that all other plugins that do the same thing will be broken too. This is not good.

I can verify that the Tumble Plugin is also broken.

Interesting, so the issue may be tumblr itself. I tried another plugin as well and couldn’t get it to work.

Well I guess we will see if there are any reported issues with tumblr.

Yeah, that’s what it’s looking like. Tumblr may have disabled the protocols that enable these plugins to work due to security risks, or any number of other reasons.

I poked around for a post from Tumblr but couldn’t find one.

People, i only registered this wordpress account to be able to tell you:

the issue is that tumblr shut down their api v.1, now they only allow apps that uses their api v.2

This happened today, and since this plugin is very outdated we need to look on other options, what other plugins besides tumblrize do you know?
