Hi! I’m far from techy and could use some help.

When I reply to comments on my blog
    1. they float like new comments, not in context to show that they’re a response
    2. they count in the tally of comments. So if two people (who aren’t me) comment and I respond, the tally thinks 4 people commented.

    here’s an example.

here’s an example of what i’d like

As far as I can tell I’m using Jetpack for comments but truly don;t know. This feature wasn’t “activated” so and I still had comments, so I just activated it to get to settings and clicked the button for “enable threaded comments” but that did nothing.

Is there something else running comments? What might it be called and where do I find it?

    Thanks!
    Paula

These parts are still handled by your theme. Jetpack Comments only handled the comment form itself; the display of the “comment stream” is left to the theme.
