Not Connecting

I have seen that thread and I know how it’s done, based on what I’ve read, but I am following the instructions, just not being able to connect, also the interface of MAMP shown their is different from my mamp interface, I am using Mac Os Panther.

So can you use phpMyAdmin to access your database?

Hey, I was able to connect and follow the tutorial, but I’m stuck on the part that says, run /wp-admin/install.php

tell me how this works.
