• Hello Myatu,

First of all I’m excited about getting your Background Manager for my new website under WP construction?

Before I go & contact my WebHost to have them upgrade my account to PHP 5.3, I need to know if this plugin is going to support the features I’m looking for. The #1 feature I’m looking for is the following – Transparent Pages. See these 2 demos (https://themefuse.com/demo/wp/photoartist/ , https://demo.inoplugs.com/) this is the effect I’m trying to get on my site using pre-existing themes like Twenty Eleven, etc.

#1. Can I have a Transparent Background for Pages, Posts, etc. so that the main web-site background slide-show is visible through all pages while reading the blog & browsing through the pages?
#1a. If the answer to #1 is ‘yes’, do I have to use CSS or do I have to use a tiny 2×2 pixel 50% transparent image (png/gif) that repeats to accomplish this? Can I use either or?
#1b. If the answer to #1a is ‘yes’, do I have to set this for every single page, post, category, tag, archive, etc. or can I at the very least have a global setting of a default page-post background for my site so that I can have all the pages be transparent in one shot, and all can see through to the website background?

#2. Can I have a site visitor manually go back/forth on the background slide-show at the very least via Fwd/Back buttons, as an added feature can a user be allowed to browse with thumbnails, etc.

#3. Can you provide a “Ken Burns” effect with configurable parameters for the background slideshow? Ken Burns effect = slow zoom + slow pan.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. Using the “Custom Stylesheet” option available in each image set, you can change the appearance of you page / post on which the background is displayed. This includes adding transparency to the page/post.

Currently it’s not possible for the visitor to manually select the next or previous image within an image set, though this has been requested before and I will look into adding this as a feature.

The Ken Burns pan+zoom is not available, but might be considered given that the current version now fully supports CSS3 transitions.

    Myatu, thanks for responding.

I’m looking forward for you to implement Ken Burns (pan+zoom) effect, as well as, slideshow navigation via next/prev buttons and selective thumbnail carousel also.

Regarding #1 my query to you was a bit convoluded, what I was trying to ask is if I can somehow get the look on those samples I pointed out by having a background slide show run on a page or page-background or site-background (current implementation) with the option of relative position & fixed width or a fixed position & dynamic 100% width plus an option to automatically get the slideshow images from standard [gallery] shortcodes allowing me to make a slideshow out of existing standard WordPress galleries from existing sites and keeping my site portable.
