[Plugin: Gallery Carousel Without JetPack] How to add internal links between images in projects in m

How can I make a link in the media of the image so that it will go to another image in the same Gallery Carousel without opening in another browser. So far I can only get it to open in another browser.

For example I want to link from https://margaretsphotoplace.com/projects/food/#jp-carousel-1835 (FOOD: corn on cob 13) to https://margaretsphotoplace.com/projects/food/#jp-carousel-1833 (FOOD: fish on scale 79).

I was able to get external links (on another browser page) and internal links to other project pages (on the same browser page) to work.
