When I try to access a page from the top menu of my homepage I receive the following error message, “Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”

I have tried to access the page from multiple browsers and all say the same thing. The odd thing is that the page worked fine on Friday from both the “preview changes” in the WP backend, as well as accessing is through the top menu.

I heard people experienced similar problems using WordPress SEO 1.2.7., so I deleted that and went back to 1.2.5., but that did not fix the problem.

Does anybody have any ideas on what might be the problem or how to fix it? I spent about an hour writing this page and it’s starting to annoy me.

    Thanks.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Ok I figured out the solution finally. I changed the title of the page when I was editing it and FORGOT to update the link in the Menu section to reflect the changes. It works now.

    Thanks for the help though.
