Failed posting to your Facebook Timeline.

    I just configured the plugin to auto post to Facebook page, than
    I wanted to test it so I added new post and published it on the website but tow an error message is showing on the post edit page saying:

    Failed posting to your Facebook Timeline. Error: {“message”:”Application with ID xxxxxxxxxxxxx has not been granted the capability to use the property message.”,”type”:”Exception”}

    1. Is there a way to fix this error?

    but at the same time the post was published to the facebook page on the behalf of the owner of the page which is “me” and is showing as it’s a shared link on the timeline of the page “The page name” shared a link via “the name I chosen as display name for the APP when I created it (linking to the website)”

    2. How to show the name of the post author instead of “the Page Name” and the website name instead of the “APP name” and keep the link to the website for it?

    Please any help would be very much appreciated

    I have the same problem. I have set this up for a client, publishing in facebook by either her or I gives:-

    `Failed posting to your Facebook Timeline. Error: {“message”:”Application with ID {CORRECTAPPID} has not been granted the capability to use the property message.”,”type”:”Exception”}

    but it posts to my personal wall, and not her personal wall or facebook page.

    I didn’t manage to resolve this so I just decided to change plugin at the end.
