• Hi there, is there a way to change the sidebar colour *without* affecting the background colour of a post (eg the screen you get when you click a post title)?

I can change it using the Page attribute to #000 but this changes the post background to black too.

    Any help much appreciated.

  • Your have 2 choices:
    – change bg color for the sidebar, not for the “page”,; in this case it will be black only the portion of the sidebar where you have content
    – if you want it equal length and always balck, Google for “faux columns”

Ahhh, i think faux columns would be the best best. Im new to this, where abouts would I put the code, and what should the code be?

    Many thanks for yuor help.

As I said, you’ll have to type “faux column” in Google and go from there.

OK, thanks. Had a quick look, but its time to learn it.

    Wish me luck ??

Or, you can download a theme that has a similar solution (I know for sure my Dark Maple has it) and study how it was done there; just to have an idea…
