WordPress Theme Upgrade?

  • I just got a reminder on my wordpress dashboard that my Karma theme is due for an upgrade. Will this change the theme or should i just keep this current version because i like it?

    Do i need to backup wordpress or is this safe? Thanks.

  • It is always best to back up before major changes. At the very least, make a backup of your existing theme folder.

    Most theme upgrades are trouble-free. Try to read the Change Log, or Release Notes, for the theme, if it has either, to see if any of the changes affect you. Look for these on the theme’s home page, or download the theme and look for a readme.txt file.
