Side Bar Widgets At Bottom Of Page

    My theme has the option of selecting a left or right sidebar, but the widgets are showing up at the bottom of the front page (my current posts). I think this may have something to do with why my footer cuts across the current post and does not stay at the bottoms as you scroll?? Any ideas as to how to fix? Thanks.
