Site live can’t change url

  • Hi,
    I did a site for a client. As I host, I made a temporary domain on the webserver using the ip numbers while I made the site, which when dns changed would be their main site.
    Tonight the dns has resolved and site is live on new server. Problem is when I change in admin from the temp IP numbers to url, I cannot login.

    Any help appreciated, desperate here.

    You should have changed those options before the DNS resolved. ^_- Now you will have to use phpmyadmin to manually change the options in the database. See: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

    I should have????
    How easy it is to be critical when one knows not the situation.
    I have fixed it by getting in and changing admin and url.
    If there is anything I hate its when someone is negative and says, “You should have etc…”
    No pics show on that page

    wow, im hard on macmanx all of the time, and i dont even think he deserved that.

    for starters, you are the one giving any info — so if he doesnt have info, in your opinion, to be able to be critical (according to your words), then he doesnt have enough info to answer your question. In which case, you were always out of luck, due to your own lack of info giving” in the original question.

    If theres anything I hate, its ppl that take their gripes out on unsuspecting innocent bystanders, just because they can.

    “As an experienced installer of collaboration software and several different blogging type applications” (your words, from another post) you shouldnt need much more help anyway. Good thing given your pleasant attitude, and cheerful replies.

    Also, just an fyi, there are more than a few typographical errors on your site, specifically the movable type page. Just an FYI.
