• Hi
I keep receiving an error message when uploading images. It doesn’t happen every time but maybe 70% of the time. I have checked the file sizes of the images and they are all below the WP 5mb limit.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it please?

    Here’s the error I’m getting

    Apologies :-/

    here you go

Please go through the following link and try to increase the memory size:

    Hi Krishna

I have followed the steps you kindly sent through and have increased the memory size allowance to 96mb but am still receiving the error message as below:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16000 bytes) in /home/jamiefly/public_html/wp-includes/media.php on line 258

I have contacted my hosting provider to check no limit is set on memory allowance on my account and am waiting to hear back but unfortunately the first step certainly doesn’t seem to have worked ??

Yes, wait for your host’s response, because some hosts have their own settings and do not allow to increase memory availability.

I’ve just had an email back. Apparently their limit is set to 32MB so this should be plenty big enough.

I hope so. Go ahead and try again.

Unfortunately I’m still getting the error ??

I’ve just tried uploading a 1.5mb photo and received this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16000 bytes) in /home/jamiefly/public_html/wp-includes/media.php on line 258

Can you post your site URL?

No problem it’s jamieflynnbase.com and the page I’m trying to upload them to this page jamieflynnbase.com/gallery/base

The problem seems to be with your theme or some plugin. Try these steps:
    1. Deactivate all your plugins
    2. Revert to Twenty Eleven theme to see if the problem is theme-specific.

    Hi Krishna

Apologies for the delay in responding.

I tried the suggestions you made above but still couldn’t upload images. I still received the same error even with all plugins deactivated and the Twenty Eleven theme selected.

Anything else you think I should try?

    Many thanks
