    The site is https://sprangleblog.com

After I updated to 3.4.1, the posts disappeared. I can see them in phpMyAdmin, so they are not deleted. They just do not display. You will notice they all are counted in the Categories (I have labeled them “Destinations”).

Also, in the Dashboard, the post count is correct but they are without any details and I get no editing links.

I am running another web site on the same server using the exact same theme and WP. That site has none of the above issues.

    try:
    – flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder from a fresh download of WordPress. by using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – re-running the upgrade via wp-admin/upgrade.php

    EXCELLENT!!

It was your Step 2 (“deactivating all plugins”) that worked. As soon as I did that, the blog posts were restored.

I then reactivated them, one at a time, starting at the top of the list with one called Adhesive. I’d installed it in 2006 or 2007 when I was running WP2.0. It immediately killed the posts.

Culprit exposed right there. All the other plugins behaved when reactivated.

Thank you for your response and for the excellent on-target diagnosis.
