Best Methods for designing WP CMS…?

    I have been thinking about style and design as of late.

    One question , that I have is …

    Does every wp blog need to display a “HOME” in the navigation bar?
    Can the “HOME” standard nav button be customized in wordpress?

    Some people live on the “ROAD” or live in the “AIRPLANE”.

    Second, My attempt to organize writing a in-depth wp template has got me thinking about categories, menus, authors and how to go forward and design added features with JQUERY.

    Can we “Designers” create page templates that will change the overall look or (style.css) of a wp blog with each menu button pressed?

    What are the limits of style versus functionality in wordpress?

    Ideally, yes. The term “Home” has become synonymous on the web with a link to a site’s front page. In some situations, users who have gotten lost amid navigation menus use it to effectively wipe the slate clean and start again.

    Can the “HOME” standard nav button be customized in wordpress?

    On the front end of any site, this is controlled by the site’s current theme and any custom menus that may have been activated. so, no – it can’t be standardised.

    Can we “Designers” create page templates that will change the overall look or (style.css) of a wp blog with each menu button pressed?

    In theory, yes but I would be very wary of doing this in most cases as it disrupts the browsing experience and can undermine the confidence of anyone browsing the site.

    What are the limits of style versus functionality in wordpress?

    In theory, none. In reality, your only limits are your technical abilities, the range of technologies available on modern browsers (jQuery, CSS etc) and the issue of trying to ensure a reasonable level of cross-browser performance.
