[Plugin: One-Click Child Theme] One click theme is breaking wordpress

  • Have used one click child plugin quite a few times before and it is great.

    However now it seems to be breaking any new sites I am using it on. First thought it may be the host that didn’t like it so tried it on another and it does the same.

    Give the success message saying “null theme switched” and then as soon as you try and move to another area of the site, the whole thing goes down. The only solution to getting the site back (minus one click child theme plugin) I have found is to completely erase the installation and databases and start again.

    Is this purely and issue with 3.4.1?

  • This is scary!!! I would love to use this plugin on all my sites but it sounds like it creates quite a few problems.
    Any responses??

    No responses, but digging around it appears to be theme specific. I have abandoned the theme I was using that was giving me problems and it appears to be working fine again now.

    I installed the plugin as well did the child activate
    and my site could not be accessed by wordpress. Activation gave error

    I’m a brand new WordPress user, trying to get to grips with everything. Discovered this plugin however once installed now everything is wiped clean. I see a blank page and can’t get back into my wordpress admin area. I also can’t follow that repair link above (too technical for me) so now I’m stuck…I presume I’ll have to re-install wordpress and lose everything I’ve been playing with over the past week.

    Seriously not impressed with this useless and damaging plugin.

    I installed and activated the one-click-child-theme plug in and I have totally lost access to my website admin, the website not longer displays.

    What do I do?!!!
