New user/subscribers

  • I have a relatively new wordpress site (online Jan./2012) that gets about 100 unique visitors a month. Until last Thursday I had zero subscribers. On Thursday I started getting 50-60 new subscribers a day with email addresses like [email protected], [email protected], and very rarely a non polish domain extension (.pl) like [email protected] (still seems to be a foreign, non-legit domain by content).
    Since I don’t know yet what WordPress’ vulnerabilities might be, I am suspicious of all these new-found “friends”. None of them have posted anything. Should I be concerned?

    Hi BaccOff,

    I see you got no response. I have been having the same thing happening. It’s very odd. They seem phony and some kind of seo-scam but I don’t know what it is. I did a google search and your question came up. I guess more searching is in order unless you figured it out.

    I also would like to stop it from happening. I am getting too many and it is distracting.
